Community Ministries Tax Preparation

Every year, Properties Manager Samantha White gears up for tax season. This year was extremely successful, especially by the numbers:

Economic Stimulus Returns may be filed through October 15. Community Ministries will continue to prepare returns for people who are not required to file a return but want to receive the Economic Stimulus payment. To make an appointment, call Samantha White at 487-1891.

Eastern Kentucky Asset Building Coalition

Community Ministries, under the direction of Jennifer Weeber, has spearheaded this coalition to provide free tax preparation and asset building opportunities to Eastern Kentuckians for five years.

The three goals of EKABC are to (1) provide outreach around the Earned Income Tax Credit; (2) provide free tax preparation services to low-income families; and (3) connect the persons who receive tax preparation services to financial literacy and asset building opportunities including Individual Development Accounts and home ownership.
